No matter where you sit, rustic bar stools are the perfect addition to your country cabin. There are several types of rustic bar stools out there. Surely, you've seen the older ones that were made of log stumps. These were the originals. They were really squat and low to the ground, almost like something you would have a child sit on or just tall enough to sit on to milk the cows. Since the first creation, bar stools have come a long way. Now, you can get them from the same basic rough looking wood material or they can even be a plain wooden bar stool with a padded seat covered in a country fabric like Pendleton Wool. Ones that you can find with Pendleton are very expensive but absolutely gorgeous. Some of the rustic bar stools do have backs on them, Some of the most interesting ones include a tin or copper back with a design pounded into it like a moose, bear or horse. These are gorgeous but most people see them more as a decoration and do not generally sit in them. The seats of these stools are usually pretty flimsy, made of a thin wicker. This is not great stability for something to be used as an everyday seat. Some of the most beautiful bar stools are rustic looking. They were among the first to be designed and they are very unique. With rustic bar stools, if you are choosing to make your own, this is the design you can be the most creative with. Whether you choose to sand and straighten up the wood or just screw some pieces together as is, no matter what you choose to do, it will be beautiful. |
